St. Agnes Day Room was founded in 1992 to serve the basic needs of the poor and the homeless in the West Chester Area. The Day Room continues to provide hospitality to those in need in a caring and welcoming environment where we seek to serve anyone who comes to us in need of assistance.

Day Room Services- Light breakfast and hot lunch served daily
- Groceries provided for families in need
- Clothing for men, women, and children
- Diapers and formula
- Basic nursing services
- Health and wellness support, education and referrals
- Outreach visits for those who can't make it to the Day Room
- Bilingual outreach services
- Life skills for families
- Children's programs
- Job search assistance
- Holiday programs for families at Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter

October Food Donations Needed
Dear Friends of the Poor,
After 32 years of serving nourishing, home cooked meals to those who come to the Church in need, we have been told by the Chester County Health Department that we are no longer permitted to serve food prepared in private home kitchens.While we are navigating a sustainable path forward, we are turning to you and requesting your assistance in keeping the poor nourished. Please consider if you could provide part of a meal once a month, by ordering food from a restaurant or supermarket catering department. If you can participate in this act of charitable giving, we ask that you email our food service coordinators at [email protected]. Lisa and Toni will be glad to assist you to make this as easy as possible and to schedule your meal donation.

Healthy Baby Program
We need your assistance in helping provide for the babies in our life! Many poor families rely on our Healthy Baby Program for emergency supplies. Please consider making a donation of any of the following: Diapers in all sizes, wipes, baby wash and shampoo and baby bottles. All of these items are needed and appreciated.

Updates and Stats
In the month of June, the Day Room provided the following services to people in need in our community:
-1,100 Breakfast meals
-3,246 Lunch meals
-250 shopping bags of fresh produce
-116 bags of nonperishable groceries
-Clothes and shoes (untabulated)
-2,760 bottles of water
-60 bottles of Ensure
-158 packages of diapers
-4 new car seats
-17 new fans
-48 campers attending Camp Guadalupe
The Outreach Workers had 513 transactions with guests seeking various services such as: help applying for jobs, housing, shelter, financial aid, enrolling children in schools and camps, helping guests access medical care, translation services, immigration services and referrals to other like-minded providers who respect the dignity of human life.
