May 11, 2020Pope Francis has announced that Thursday May 14th will be a day of prayer, fasting, and works of charity for an end to the worldwide Coronavirus pandemic. He has encouraged all people to join in this spiritual effort.
Here at St. Agnes, we invite you to join us and the Holy Father on Thursday as we call down God's mercy upon our world at this time. Here are some suggestions of ways that you can participate. Feel free to come up with your own!
Prayer- Join in daily Mass at 8am on our website here.
- Read the Bible. Mark 10:46-52 is especially appropriate.
- Join in a live-streamed Rosary at 7pm with our priests on Facebook here. You don't need an account to join!
- Avoid unnecessary trips out
- Skip dessert today
- Read a spiritual book instead of watching television
- Get out of bed on time, without hitting snooze
- Limit your time on social media
- Donate supplies to our Day Room (especially any extra sanitation supplies you might have around)
- Call a lonely friend or family member
- Schedule an appointment to donate blood
- Pray for the deceased, especially all of those who have died of COVID-19
