  Please read the following information regarding the selection of Godparents:
  A child being baptized into the Catholic Church is allowed a maximum of two Godparents: one Godfather (male) and/or one Godmother (female). If you have two Godparents, at least one of them MUST be a practicing Catholic who is eligible (has received Baptism, First Holy Communion and Confirmation and, if married, married in the Catholic Church) to be a Godparent. If you only have one Godparent in mind, this individual must also be a practicing and eligible Catholic who is registered at a parish.
