Ignatian Contemplative prayer was developed by St. Ignatius of Loyola in the 1500s. It is meeting God through story. The prayer develops as you “live into” a scripture story with your senses and imagination. You become a participant in the story. The Spirit guides the participant in prayer, where you allow the Spirit to work with you, within you, and around you. During our sessions we will “practice” this very special way of praying in the hopes that all might engage in it more often.
It is suggested that you attend the Spirituality Day on My 5 (if possible) prior to attending these sessions.
