This Synod of the Universal Church has been called to consider how we live our lives today as Catholic Christians and focuses on three specific aspects or themes of Christian life: Communion, Participation, and Mission. This Synod is NOT intended to solve one specific issue or revise a piece of doctrine. It is to regain our ability to listen, to demonstrate the interdependence of our respective journeys of faith, and to remind us, as Archbishop Pérez frequently does, that we should “never doubt the Holy Spirit is working in us, through us, and despite us.”
This time of reflection and conversation will take about 90 minutes. We sincerely thank you for participating in this world-wide initiative. The information provided in these sessions will help Archbishop Pérez, Pope Francis and we, the entire People of God, to discern together how to move forward on the path towards being a more synodal Church in the long-term.
